Navigating Election Week with Care and Compassion

As we move into a week filled with uncertainty and heightened emotions, many of us are feeling the added stress of what’s to come and the impact it may bring.

How are you managing this additional stress? And how are your team members coping?

In many workplaces, conversations about politics are minimized to keep the environment inclusive and comfortable for all. Yet, avoiding these topics doesn’t eliminate the anxiety or intense emotions that may surface. Whether feelings of relief, disappointment, or something in between emerge post-election, it’s essential to acknowledge that these times are challenging for everyone.

Consider your self-care strategies.

What helps you manage stress? For me, I’ve lined up yoga sessions and walks with my dogs to find moments of calm over the next few days.

Think about how you’re supporting yourself and others through the week. You might give yourself, family members, and your team extra bandwidth to navigate these moments with grace.

Whatever the outcome, remember to take a deep breath and offer kindness—to yourself and those around you.
