Over the years, I have learned that while growth feels personal, it is rarely a solo endeavor. The people around us shape our thinking, challenge our assumptions, and expand what we believe is possible.
Being part of the Forefront Program, powered by 100 Coaches and founded by Marshall Goldsmith, has deeply influenced my life and career. It is a global community of coaches committed to helping others grow. You never have to explain why this work matters. Everyone simply understands.
The Recognized Expert Program created by Dorie Clark has been another source of support and inspiration. Surrounded by thoughtful professionals building their voices and contributing meaningfully to their fields, I found the confidence to write my book. The support this community provided around my book has been incredible.
In her book Pioneers, my friend and fellow RExer Neri Karra Sillaman, Ph.D. writes about how immigrant entrepreneurs leverage community as one of their greatest assets. Community becomes a source of opportunity, trust, and mutual support. Success is built collectively.
As an immigrant myself, I felt this deeply. Rebuilding networks in new places taught me how powerful it is to find people who understand your context without long explanations.
A few years ago, together with Michal Kimeldorfer Rabinowitz and Dorit Levy-Zilbershot, I helped build Techiot Boston, a community of Hebrew speaking Israeli women in tech and biotech. What began as a small gathering now brings close to a hundred women together to meet, learn, grow, and simply be together.
These women are accomplished and busy, yet they show up because they value being in a space where they feel understood without needing to explain themselves.
If you are a Hebrew speaking Israeli woman in tech or biotech, please reach out so I can add you to the group.
The photo is from our last Techiot event. Thank you to Michal Krymolowski Junio and Lama Ventures for hosting us, and to Tami Nussbaum and Idit Vachtel Ami for sharing their inspiring career journeys.
Community gives us courage and perspective. It reminds us we are not alone and invites us to contribute.
What communities are you part of? Which ones have been meaningful for you?
